We carried out a retrospective single-centre evaluation of all successive customers admitted towards the intensive attention product (ICU) as a consequence of extreme COVID-19 during the University Hospital Zurich to explain cholestatic damage during these customers. The conclusions were compared to a retrospective cohort of patients with serious influenza A. The introduction of SSC signifies an important complication of critically sick COVID-19 patients and needs become considered into the diagnostic progress up in extended cholestasis. The occurrence of SSC is of great interest into the ongoing pandemic as it is connected with significant morbidity and death.
