To evaluate the impact of smoking on different cancer immune subtypes and the relative abundance of immune cell types in male versus female cancer patients, we utilized The Cancer Genomic Atlas (TCGA) datasets (n = 2724). Our results were further corroborated by the examination of additional data sources, including bulk RNA-seq from the expO Oncology Expression Project (n = 1118) and single-cell RNA-seq data from the same project (n = 14).
